1. Couple's airship journey for a breeding license

   In the year 3000, the young couple Paolo and Maria have lived together in a free, childless union of love. They travel by airship across a united world to its capital, Andropolis, where state medical authorities examine them to decide whether they may convert their union into a licensed marriage permitted to have children. The trip is a guided tour of future society, showing reproduction as the one intimate act the state controls, while sexual love itself is left free.

2. Enforced equality fails against human nature

   The book includes a failed experiment in collectivist socialism, offered as evidence that forced economic equality kills initiative and ends in stagnation or collapse. It argues that a good future comes from science, hygiene, world government and freedom to compete, not from abolishing property and difference. Progress is presented as coming from technical and biological improvement of individuals rather than from redistribution.
