Frame the question precisely enough to be answerable, Fact-find by gathering both the relevant evidence and the family's own logistics and preferences, make a Final decision, and then Follow up at a date set in advance. The sequence separates the work of deciding from the anxiety of deciding, so each choice goes through a repeatable process instead of being argued out again under pressure.
A decision gets a follow-up date when it is made. Until that date it is treated as settled, so new doubts and small bits of contrary evidence are held until the review instead of reopening the question daily. This caps decision fatigue and still leaves a planned point to correct course when the evidence shows the choice isn't working.
Treat the household like an organization. Seeing the family this way turns vague values into explicit criteria, shows the tradeoffs behind each yes, and lets any new choice, such as adding an activity, be checked against stated priorities instead of against social pressure or guilt.
