For years a border guard searches Nasrudin's saddlebags and finds only straw, yet Nasrudin keeps getting richer. Scrutiny focused on the expected contents misses what is in plain sight, because the observer's frame decides what counts as evidence.
Feeding the fine coat at the banquet
Nasrudin arrives at a feast in rags and is ignored. He comes back in a fine coat, is seated with honor, and then spoons food into the coat, saying it was the coat that was invited.
