  1. Settling down erodes hunting life

When people who lived by moving across the land are gathered into fixed villages, the change brings problems and distress, not just a new address. A life built on following animals and seasons loses its footing once people stay put.

  2. Skills vanish within one generation

The knowledge needed to make a living as a hunter is not stored anywhere but in people who practise it. If the young stop learning it, it can be lost, so elders feel a duty to pass on language, culture and traditions deliberately.
