1. Funerals have many paths

   Embalming followed by a conventional cemetery plot is only one way to handle a body. Other options include cremation, burial at sea, a memorial reef, a funeral held at home, a plain pine box, burial on your own land, and a natural cemetery.

2. From funeral industry to natural burial

   The standard modern funeral is a product of an industry. Natural, or green, burial is a simpler alternative to it. Moving from one to the other means stepping outside the industry's usual package rather than picking a variation within it.
