1. The lonely crocodile's ad for friends

   Gena, a crocodile who spends his days at the zoo working as a crocodile and his evenings alone in his flat, posts notices around town asking for friends. The people and creatures who answer include Galya, a girl, and Cheburashka, a small furry animal found asleep in a crate of oranges. Together they set out to build a House of Friendship where all the lonely people can meet.

2. The creature science has no category for

   Cheburashka fits no known species, and the zoo turns him away partly because it cannot classify him. He is not left without a place, though: a shop takes him on and gives him somewhere to live, and later his friends help him secure a role at a kindergarten.
