Tradition rebuilt as disposable commodity
Folk ghost tradition survives in Ghost Street only as machinery built to entertain tourists. Once the attraction stops paying, modernization demolishes the simulation too. A culture that turns its past into spectacle makes that past as disposable as any failing business, and the people who grew up inside it lose their home.
